A design for a Ukrainian apple box

Saving the Land is a charity project set up by Ukrainian farmer Serhil Zubar, which will distribute apples grown in Ukraine to support local farmers and fund projects to demine land in the country. The brief was to create an illustration to feature on the apple box that could also be used across a range of different sized packaging.

This live brief was set by illustrator Hedof and InkyGoodness Collective as part of the 28 Day Branding Challenge.

I created a symmetrical design that depicted a a young farming family, with nods to Ukrainian traditional dress, folk art and landscape.
